 Music Is the Key to Learning™
-Creating an Environment for Learning-
Music, a significant conductor of thought, transcends language and cultural barriers, opens the mind for understanding and creates a memorable learning experience with instant recall. Because of music's remarkable power to help children learn, as well as the enjoyment that comes from good music, we use this great teaching tool extensively throughout the programs of America's Family.
Music is a key component to learning. Research studies have shown that students who participate in music on a regular basis often excel scholastically in language, science, and math. Through 30 years of teaching, we also have experienced the uniqueness of music in developing and expanding the mind for learning with understanding. Yes, we believe music is the key to learning.
We also encourage the development of the sister arts to music. Through sponsored competitions, multi-media avenues, programs and productions, this area of study creates opportunities for the students to develop and express their performance skills, as well as participating in the creation of American literature, poetry, dance, art, drama, and music.
