We Love Our Constitution
In this segment, we focus on the following areas:
Preamble to the United States Constitution
The seven articles
Bill of Rights
Amendments 11 through 27
History of our Founding Fathers
Information of the 39 Signers
History leading up to the Constitutional Convention
Subsequent events that affect our laws today.
Learning through Music
The Young Citizens of America receive instruction in voice, dance, drama, and performance techniques.

They participate in community programs and also audio and video recordings.
The students are given additional opportunities to express themselves through music composition.

The graduates of Young Citizens of America receive training as Young Citizens student teachers, thereby, further developing their skills for the future.
Expression through Art and Literature
The Literature area encompasses the reading and studying of books written by and about our Constitutional Framers, history of America, and other nations' political structures.

The children's skills are expanding through supervised experimentation of writing newspaper articles, short stories, and poetry.

We believe that an educated society is necessary for the maintenance of freedom, and that great minds are developed from the study of outstanding literature.

The Visual Arts section is devoted to teaching children about their American heritage.  The students are developing skills in American History art, drawings, paintings, early American crafts, printmaking, photography, and multi-media work.
I Matter
The ability to function in the world around us depends largely on self image.  For this purpose, the personal development program is a vital part in each child's life.

YCOA stresses the importance of physical fitness, grooming, appropriate dress standards, study skills, etiquette and behavior, self-esteem, human relationships, study of other cultures, ethics and integrity.
